I uploaded a file, Towle1875_300.djvu, a 12 page story, all text, compressed into one DjVu file. The archive identifier is Towle1875FortFisherNC. The upload page indicated XML would be used, but said I could change the file extension. I tried the edit page but no file extension change was apparent. I can't find the upload by searching in archive.org now so I can't provide a link.

Hi,

There's no file in there, the item is empty. So I'm guessing maybe you uploaded it to the wrong server? When you log on via FTP to upload your file, you must connect to the exact server and directory that's shown on the checkout page - if you upload the file anywhere else, it won't show up for your item.

Here's some information about how to add your file:

Thanks,

Alexis

I uploaded a file to new directory, Butlers_Book_Chapter_XVII. IA instructions for FTPing [at a DOS prompt] say I should see the directory or I might be at the wrong server. But I was at the root and had to change directory not server.

I FTPed a file in the default ASCII type rather than binary.
Today I had my Eureka! and used "Item Manager" to delete the ASCII put and then do a BINARY put. The IA FTP instructions say you'll be in the appropriate directory but you have to cd from /.

Prior to Eureka, I requested by "Report errors" that http://www.archive.org/details/Butlers_Book_Chapter_XVII
be deleted and that I be given the opportunity to start from the beginning. Will IA continue to not act on this request for deletion of Butlers_Book_Chapter_XVII? I'm making publc links to ButlerXVII.djvu.

"The item is not available due to issues with the item's content.
If you would like to report this problem as an error report, you may do so here." Apparently http://www.archive.org/details/Butlers_Book_Chapter_XVII became issues with the item's content.
